'High-Relief'
An examination of the rudiments of sculpture. Having worked exclusively in the round I wondered what a high-relief sculpture in fabric would look like. The very first image that came to mind was bed sheets; a great expanse of crisp white cotton with limbs poking out. From this ‘High-Relief’ was created, a sleeping figure who only emerges when the sheet is scrunched together.
